Breakfast - a of choices and different things to eat. The value for breakfast was good Onsen - can use a little updating, however the cold plunge, outdoor hot tub and sauna were all amazing View - made the hotel worth the money

The shuttle bus that offers few pick up points in the city. Amazing view of the city and the volcano from breakfast and the onsen. Spacious bedroom, that came with a 2 seater sofa and big bed, nothing like in Tokyo. Impressive breakfast spread. The changing room for the onsen was very spacious and clean. Few shops to buy food and drinks inside the hotel.

Fantastic location with view of the Sakurajima volcano. Copious breakfast with possibility to sit outside on the terrace and enjoy the spectacular view. Shuttle bus into town. Easy parking if you travel by car.

Just absolutely exceptional hotel from facilities, staff, location etc. one of the best hotels I have stayed at over 45 years of travelling. And still cannot believe the price - thought it was missing a zero. Great breakfast buffet and nice albeit deserted cocktail lounge with jazz every night Staff went beyond call plus a great onsen looking out across the bay. Great dinner at Cantonese test Because it is located up a hill regular thirty minute shuttle services to station and shopping area.

Fantastic view from our room and an excellent onsen. Great that the room also had openable windows. Even though the hotel was 15-20 minutes away from the city, we could always get a seat on the free shuttle bus that went every half an hour. The hotel is huge - we avoided the restaurants at the hotel, but there was a great patisserie we frequented. The breakfast was good (a large selection of different types of food), although it can get a bit crazy with the volume of people at busy times.

Part of the appeal in staying here was the shuttle bus which I used quite a few times. The view is incredible and kudos to the bus drivers for driving those windy roads so we'll! Unfortunately because the hotel was so busy and it's a huge hotel I didn't really feel like there were many personal touches, it did make me feel like they look after the more affluent clients. The hotel elevators were a little confusing at first but then I figured it out. The bottom floor bakery is delicious and I really loved having the family mart there too, so handy! The room I had was big enough for me but definitely on the smaller side of places I have stayed overall. Lots of amenities here and honestly a lot to do and see at the hotel, you could easily spend the day there.

One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. The view of Sakurajima and the city from everywhere, our room included was stunning. The hotel has everything you need, including several restaurants and a convenience store. It's a bit outside of town and up the hill but there is also a shuttle that goes back and forth every 30 mins so it's not a problem at all. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Staff are exceptionally friendly and there for any need quickly and efficiently.. The hotel smells wonderful as they seemed to have the scent of flowers wafting throughout the halls. The onsen was wonderful and includes an indoor and outdoor space looking out at Sakurajima.

The view from the hotel is fantastic, not just from the bath but also from the breakfast area and especially the coffee lounge. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to help me reserve an ebike to drive around Sakurajima and anything else I needed. Loved the breakfast buffet. Well worth the price. Excellent quality and endless choices of traditional Japanese food and a good number of Western choices. Bread and cakes did not just look beautiful but were super tasty. The view from the bath is of course a highlight. The shower and changing area is spacious. The bath itself is not too big and can get a bit busy. Another highlight is the view from the lounge next to check-in. Treat yourself to a drink while enjoying the best view in town with changing faces of Sakurajima.

Marvellous view of the city, sea, vulcan from the room. Fantastic breakfast in food quantity and quality, we ate outside on the patio of the breakfast restaurant. A lot of warm dishes, a lot of choice and also finest French patisserie. Fantastic onsen in the hotel. Fantastic nature and forest around the hotel. Very quiet at night. We used the bus coach to reach the city from the hotel, we also walked during the day through the pedestrian walk in the marvellous forest. To reach the entrance of the walk from the hotel, just follow the indication "Promenade" from the hotel: it is super easy: get out of the main entrance of the hotel, walk to the left, walk 100mt up to the kiosks selling tourist stuff, here follow indication "Promenade", it is other 70mt , and then take the path going down, it is not a road, it is very easy and very wide trail.

The rooms were spacious, and we appreciated the option to book a private onsen. Since it rained throughout our stay, we couldn't comment on the view. ;-) We enjoyed a delicious Japanese breakfast, and the hotel offers convenient on-site parking. It's an expansive property—we hadn’t realized just how large it was beforehand—so there are numerous restaurants and dining options to choose from. However we decided to eat in town.
